Spin Effortlessly with Grace – Where Speed Meets Precision!

SAN

Rocker: 6.6ft

Sale priceUSD $1,249.99

Top toe: Small
Bottom toe: Double
Toe shape: Cross-cut
Toe timing: Delayed
Curve: Tight
Heel: Medium

The SAN (燦: "to shine brightly and beautifully") is for skaters craving extra enhancement in their spins. The taller edge provides deep edge work, and the cross-cut toe with double bottom toe picks provides superior grip but quick rotation on the ice.

・This model is designed for skaters who specialize in steps and spins.

・Compared to models focused on jumps, the toe pick is smaller, resulting in a sharper edge curve.

・The rocker design is also shorter than models like "Ai" or "Miyabi," making it less likely for the toe pick to catch during steps, turns, and spins. This enhances precision and maneuverability.

・While there is a slight disadvantage in jump situations due to the reduced toe pick grip, the double-toe design compensates for this, enabling skaters to tackle higher-level jumps.

・The radius of the edge curve is 2,000mm.

FEATURES

Feature 01

Strong and Flexible Material

We conducted rigorous testing to find the best steel that is both flexible to better resist bending and impacts but also highly durable. With our strong and flexible material and our original and unique shape, our blades provide marvelous shock absorption when landing jumps, highly reducing the burden on the body and preventing injuries.
Some other advantages of our steel blades are the remarkably smooth glide they provide, enabling skaters to effortlessly build speed and maintain momentum between jumps and during spins.
Moreover, our blades require far less frequent sharpening than those made with alternative materials.

Feature 02

Single-Unit Structure (Crafting Blades without Welding)

Our blades are carved from a single block of steel weighing about 10 kg (22 lbs) by a five-axis machining center, and the finished product only weighs about 280 g (less than 10 oz), leaving only 3% of the original block. While traditional models often suffer from inconsistencies among each product and a lack of durability due to the welding of three separate components, we provide longterm and consistent support to skaters by eliminating those issues with our century-long experience specializing in steel and advanced metal processing technology.

Feature 03

Strict Quality Control

We understand that consistent skating conditions at every practice and competition are essential for skaters. That is why we meticulously control the quality of our products to a precision of several tens of microns, in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment, ensuring uniformity across every item. Our blades are designed for longevity, requiring minimal sharpening or replacement. However, when it is time to replace, you can trust that the new blades will deliver the same exceptional feel as the previous ones.

Feature 04

Exceptionally Beautiful Design

In figure skating, where beauty is of utmost importance, both skating skills and elements such as costumes and hair/makeup play crucial roles in expressing that beauty. Our blades are not only top-tier in performance, but they also exude elegance and artistry. Achieve a beauty that truly shines on the ice with YS BLADES.
